In the afternoon, you will continue by train to Aguas Calientes, where you will spend the night.

2-Day Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu Adventure Itinerary
Day 1:Cusco – Chinchero – Maras – Moray – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes
– Hotel pickup in Cusco early in the morning.
– Visit the Chinchero Weaving Center, where local Andean women demonstrate traditional textile techniques using alpaca wool and natural dyes.
– Continue to the Maras Salt Mines, one of Peru’s most impressive salt extraction complexes, in use since pre-Inca times.
– Explore the Moray Inca Agricultural Center, an ancient agricultural laboratory featuring circular terraces where the Incas studied crop adaptation under different climate conditions.
– Free time for lunch in Maras or Urubamba (lunch not included).
– Transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station.
– Board the train at 3:37 PM bound for Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Town), arriving at approximately 5:00 PM.
– Free afternoon to explore the town.

Day 2:Guided Tour of Machu Picchu and Return to Cusco
Machu Picchu Circuit 2 – Private Guided Service
– Pickup at 7:00 AM from your hotel in Aguas Calientes.
– Together with your official English-speaking guide, walk to the bus station to board the shuttle that will take you to Machu Picchu.
– Enter the citadel through Circuit 2, considered one of the most comprehensive routes, and enjoy a private guided tour of the main temples, plazas, and viewpoints.
– Approximate guided tour duration: 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
– Return bus to Aguas Calientes.
– Lunch on your own and free time to explore the town (not included).
– Return train departing at 2:55 PM or 3:20 PM to Ollantaytambo.
– Private minivan transfer from Ollantaytambo to your hotel in Cusco.
(Ground transportation is provided exclusively by the driver; the tour guide returns separately on a local train.)
