Two days of camping and exploration in breathtaking Quelccaya Tour Details

Day 1Cusco – Phinaya – Sivinaccocha Lagoon – Quehuar

Your adventure begins early with hotel pickup in Cusco at 5:00 a.m. We will travel to the picturesque village of Pitumarca (3,570 meters), where you will enjoy a hearty Andean breakfast and have time to purchase any essentials for the trip.

From there, we continue toward the impressive Sivinaccocha Lagoon (4,600 meters), a crystal-clear lake surrounded by towering mountains that offers a truly captivating landscape. After enjoying the scenery, we will head to our campsite in Quehuar (4,850 meters).

The night unfolds under a sky full of stars, in the deep silence of the Andes. Dinner will be served before you settle into your tents for a well-deserved rest in this unique natural setting.

Hiking time: Approximately 2 hours.
Difficulty: Moderate to difficult.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner.

Day 2Quehuar – Quelccaya Glacier – Cusco

After breakfast, we will begin our morning hike toward the magnificent Quelccaya Glacier (5,500 meters). The trail, approximately 5 kilometers long, takes about 3 hours. Along the way, you will be surrounded by towering peaks and pristine ice formations, making every step a unique experience.

Once we reach the glacier, you will have time to explore, take photos, and admire its natural beauty. Afterwards, we will return to the campsite for a well-deserved lunch before traveling back to Cusco by vehicle, arriving around 8:30 p.m.
