Ausangate is one of the spiritual paths of magical- religious character by the presence of the Cordillera Vilcanota where the highest Cusco snowy Ausangate ( 6384 m) , the protective god in the Peruvian Andes is imposed. During the tour you have the presence of llamas, alpacas, vicuna, complemented by the presence of human groups.

Itinerary

Day 1Cusco tours - Urcos - Tinqui

During the morning we take our transport that will southeast of Cusco. On the way we will observe a variety of wilderness in the middle of small towns and villages where we will learn about the customs and traditions left by our ancestors. The environment CATCA a valley, it’s time to enjoy a picnic. Then we continued on our way to 3850m Tinqui suitable place to spend the night camping. Transportation time 6 hours. Including lunch and breakfast.

Day 2Tinqui - Upis - Ausangate

We start our walk upwards to the community of Upis (4400m). Through this way we have the opportunity to interact with some local families, presenting their traditions and customs of Andean life. Upon arrival at camp Upis, we have the opportunity to visit the medicinal thermal bath, which is good as relaxing. Hiking time: 6 hours. Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 3Upis - Step Arapa - Yana Cocha - Step Extreme Ausangate - Laguna Ausangate

Start our way up the first pass called Arapa (4850m) and continue from there down to Yana Cocha, where we will pick a nice picnic. Then continue upwards the Extreme Ausangate (4850m), to finally descend to the edge of the lagoon Ausangate (4650m), site of our camp. Hiking time: 7 hours. Including breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 4Laguna Ausangate - Step Palomani - Jampa

The gap today will get to the highest point of the expedition, called Palomani (5200m), where we have a spectacular view of the Ausangate. Hence we descend through a valley and then climb to our campsite called Jampa (4700m). Hiking time: 8 hours. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. 5th Day Tours:

Day 5Jampa - Campa step - Pacchanta - Tinqui - Ausangate

The presence of another impressive ascent will be the Campa pass (5100m), then we headed to the hot springs of Pacchanta (4350m), a place to have a relaxing bath medicinal heat before reaching community Tinqui (3850m). Walking time approximately 8 hours. Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 6Tinqui - Cusco tours

We will take the bus back to Cusco, arriving to visit the town of Tipon or Saylla to taste a typical dish of the region, such as the guinea cracklings (meat of pig). Time Travel 6 hours. Inclusive taste a typical dish of the region.
